Ginger's story

Though we felt like the vets were offering no hope and no solutions we knew in our hearts that we had all we needed in our hands to help Ginger get better.
Ginger was 12 1/2 yrs old when her spleen ruptured. Surgery to remove her spleen was the only option to start her path of recovery. Some old dogs might not have even survived the surgery. Ginger was even more at risk as an insulin dependent diabetic for more than 6 years. However, we had recently found a mineral in liquid form that removes toxins called Natural Cellular Defense. Ginger had been taking some drops a few times per day for a few months prior to her collapse.
I have thought about this a lot. We didn't know that Ginger was already in a health crisis with cancer. Otherwise we might have done things differently. Maybe you can relate to that. As it was, it made sense to give her Natural Cellular Defense to help balance her blood sugars. We looked at using NCD as a preventative.
However, when we found ourselves in crisis mode, we started a crisis dose. We couldn't get the vet to squirt the liquid zeolite into Ginger during surgery, but the staff agreed to administer NCD every 15 minutes around the clock as Ginger stayed in ICU.
This is a very important part of her story. The vets agreed to work with us as support in offering hope. They knew she wouldn't live and we knew she would.
We continued with high doses of liquid zeolite when Ginger came home, using 10 drops 10 times per day. As the days passed, we saw Ginger get better and better. She recovered fully from her surgery and even more amazing than that, we found that her whole body was getting healthier day by day. How did we know? Well, we had to cut back on the amount of insulin we gave her. It was amazing, but it made sense. You don't give a healthy animal (or person) medications.
Ginger lived another 16 months beyond her time of surgery. When she left, it was on her own terms as an old dog ready to go. She was nearly 14 years old. Can you imagine?
We used other natural supplements, a meat and veggie diet, no carbs. We added supplements and we offered energy healing with Reiki on a daily basis. You might call it a Holistic Approach to health. It's something we should all do daily.
We were more than lucky. We acted on purpose and thank goodness we knew what to do. Her full story is on RosemarysSolutions.com
Now you know too.

Cancer fighting tip from Ginger's owner Rosemary L.

Remove the cause of disease rather than treating the symptoms. The cause of disease is toxins... proven time and time again. Remove them from your home environment, the food, the garden, and your body. Act toward prevention, but slip into high gear with intention and purpose when you begin using Natural Cellular Defense. We believe this one element, above all others, saved Ginger's life and has helped saved others too.

Ginger's owner Just reading through some posts and want to mention that BONE MEAL is NOT GOOD for dogs. The fluoride content is too high, so use a different source for calcium. I would also say to NOT give TUMS as a calcium source. Too much aluminum. Please consider the unseen toxins in supplements you might want to add to your dog's diet. http://www.uslaw.com/library/Personal_Injury_Law/Bone_Meal_Bad_Stuff_Dog_Food_Fluoride_above_healthy_levels_n_national_.php?item=522260

Maggie's owner Thanks Rosemary. My world is so empty right now. I'm so sorry for your loss as well. I've just switched in the last 2 years to trying to be as all natuaral as possible. I believe we are killing ourselves and our pets and planet with all the chemicals and preservatives we use and dispose of.

Ginger's owner Thank you. Yes, I understand. In fact, I devote my time and my work toward helping people make those kinds of changes. As you are making changes, be watchful of what is going on around you... not out of fear, but awareness. For example, we had icy roads the other day as the fog was actually freezing. So here in Portland, the streets were treated with a de-icer. Now of course, our dogs walk through that barefooted and the de-icer washes downhill into the streams, etc. We wiped Gracie's feet when she came in and gave her zeolite for prevention. Stay proactive for yourself. The changes you made over the last 2 years will help keep you from becoming too toxic. Rosemary

Maggie's owner My parents thought I'd gone crazy at first, but now they're recycling and they're a little more conscious of what they're eating. A guy I work with calls me a "hippie", that ok. Another lady I work with lost her chow a couple days after I lost Maggie. He had prostate cancer that had already spread into his bones. I knew dogs could get almost anything we can, but I had no idea it was so prevalant. I have another dog at home, Mollie, she's a miniature pincher. Mollie's diabetic, getting insulin twice a day for 5 years now. They give us so much love, we have to do anything we can to take care of them.

Ginger's owner I've been called a "tree hugger", which I think is a complement. :) If you are going through diabetes with Mollie, I can relate to that. What kind of insulin are you giving? What's Mollie's diet? Ginger was insulin dependent too for about 5-6 years before she got into trouble with cancer. It wasn't until after we got her through her cancer trials with zeolite that we started seeing a reversal in her need for insulin. If you'd like to know the details on diet and how we managed Ginger's health, just let me know. I'm happy to share. You are right that we'll do anything to take care of them. Maggie and Mollie both have very important messages for us and our health too.

Maggie's owner Hi Rosemary! Mollie's on Humulin N, 8 units twice daily. She's about 17 lb. I'm almost ashamed to say she's on canned food, Pedigree. She's vey finnicky, very cat-like! She likes a food for a while, then suddenly, she's done, no more! I did have them on a homemade diet a couple years ago, and I really couldn't afford to keep doing it, with all the arthritis and pain meds for Maggie, and Mollies insulin and testing. I'll have to look up the recipe again but it was a mixture of ground meat and broccoli and green beans. I'm vegetarian and really don't like where the meat industry does. I would like to look into a vegetarian, or at least an all-natural organic diet for Mollie. Yes, I would definately like to know more about how you handles Ginger's health. I'll never be without a dog. Someday, I'll invite another one to share it's life with me, and I want to offer it the healthiest life possible. I'm also very interested in hearing about this zeolite. Looking foreward to hearing from you! Michele

Ginger's owner Hi Michele, Ok. I know Humulin. We used that for Ginger too. Then we switched to one the vet recommended that was Porcine in origin. That seemed to work better, at least for a while. I understand what you mean about diet. I'm in the process of making a video for home-made canine diets... for healthy and for special needs dogs. Will let you know when that happens. I'm still getting used to the software I got for Christmas. As for chatting, just contact me through my website if you like. RosemarysSolutions.com. I can answer some questions for you re: diet as well as zeolites. There's a lot to learn! and as you said, you'll always have a dog. Me too! Hey, you might like to see the youtube video I just uploaded of my dog Gracie. It's on the Dog Health page of my website. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. By the way, we're in Oregon, so Pacific time.

Anouch's owner Hello Rosemary. It is beautiful everything you have done for your Ginger. I am living in Australia with my 12 y.o. golden Anouch, having moved here last year and Anouch had to have his spleen and a large tumor removed over a month ago, in the process we also found he has a cancerous tumor on his liver. We are doing alot to change his environment and clean his system, and I am presently looking at Zeolite and Aimee told me you know alot about it. Is it really important, do you think, to use the NCD, there are other versions here in Aus, and I wonder if they compare with the Waiora type. Any comments you might have would be welcome! Warm regards, Annick

Ginger's owner Hi Annick, Thank you for your kind words. Anouch is a beauty and you are certainly doing some wonderful things for him. Yes, there is a BIG difference in types of zeolite. NCD is the best and most effective. There is really no comparison to the other types as they have not been cleaned or micronized. I have many resources to share and could guide you with the process I would use if Anouch were my dog. The good news is that Waiora products are available for you there and I can help you access the best price available... unless you already have someone to help you. Let me know if there's anything I can do.

Anouch's owner Dear Rosemary, Thank you so much for your quick reply. I spoke to my holistic vet and with her, I have decided to use au australian version that is not pyramid-sales. There is so much out there and at one point, I just have to go with my gut feeling... here is the website:www.zeoone.com (company that manufactures Zeo One (Human) and Zeo Pet & Vet (Animals). (The information on the zeoone website is based on the human product, but all the information is relevant to the animal product) My vet recommends using it for a detox period of 6 weeks. Any comments, please feel free to share. Take good care and have a lovely day. Annick

Ginger's owner Hi Annick, You're welcome and all the best to you. I see that this product is clinoptilolite, which is good. It doesn't say what else is in it. Can you find out? Some zeolite preparations have other ingredients, like humic acid, to keep it in suspension. Remember, it's not the method of sales that matter, it's the quality of the product and what you expect it to do for you. Certainly follow your vet's advice as you are under her care.

Anouch's owner G'day Rosemary, I found out the other ingredients: Zeolite (Clinoptilolite) in a glycerin, water base. Xanthan gum, potassium ascorbate and ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). Thank's again for your input! Have a lovely day. Kindly yours, Annick
